"Hmph, you just wanna see me do it." Seraphine grumbled but walked over to the keypad. She punched in the number 0014.

A nasty jolt of electricity hsot out of the keypad into Sera, knocking her back into Thea where they both slammed into the wall. Sera saw stars swirling around her head and tried unsuccessfully to stand up.

"But seriously guys, maybe we're not approaching this right...lets look at the first line 'Four must be found' well thats easy, we need to find four numbers! Second line is "First has one less than itself." Maybe we should look at the numbers as Words instead of as numbers...we are dealign with Word-Wielders, right?"

Thea snorted, "Well, i'm glad you're having fun with your little 'shocking expierience'." She shook her head. "As for your suggestion, i don't see how that would work. How can you take the word 'one' and make it less than 'itself'? I still think the first number is 2."

Another nasty bolt of blue electricity fizzled out of the door this time and shocked the heck out of Tamien and caused her to fly back across the room. Seraphine quickly knelt by her and said.

The burns went away, but Tamien still looked dazed.

Thea raised an eyebrow at Lycoris. "Uh, no it didn't, bat-eyes. What're you smoking? Come on, apperently just pushing random buttons apperently is not going to help. And, if we just stand here we're just asking for some guard to come by and pick us up!"

the last number has to be four."

Thea growled with frustraition. "You moron, the guard has weapons! We don't, in case you havn't noticed!"
She thought on what Seraphine had meant. "If we take '1' as the word one... do we make it less that 'first' or 'itself'? Augh, i'm bloody well confused!"

"Maybe.....Oh! Try counting the number of letters in the number as well. Which number has one less than it's own value?"

"One less than it's own value... Well, if we count the letters in 'one' that gets us three. Grrr, but the number one less than three is still two!" She stopped and thought a bit more. "Unless the answer is 3... because if we count the letters in the word 'one' we get three and so 'one(3)' less than it's own value is... is... DAMMIT!"

"Another thought is, what if we counted the number of letters in 'first'? That would give us five and one less than that value is four. Maybe the answer is 4." Again, she growled with frustraition. Akira slowly stood up since the spell had knocked her of her feet and she stared at Thea for a moment before turning away and once again looked at the floorevery time i speek up im told to keep quietshe thought why cant i just learn to keep my mouth shut its not like my say is very importantshe looked up and looked at the others again trying to solve the puzzle
