Lunch-how hard can it be?

Post by Falconer »

The box wrote:Remove plastic wrap from microwave tray. Remove bread sticks and set aside.
Okay, I set the tray aside, now what?
The box wrote:Microwave on HIGH for 2 Minutes.
Just once, these things should say NORMAL, because that's what it is, not HIGH.
The box wrote:Replace bread sticks. Microwave on HIGH an additional 2 minutes.
Replace with what?
The box wrote:Let Microwave stand for 3 minutes.
What else was I going to do with it? Take it back to the table with me?
The box wrote:WARNING: Contents will be hot after heating
No kidding, Sherlock. I'll go out on a limb and bet the stuff in the freezer is COLD.

I get the joke, but I have used the microwave at 50% power. It is normaly with defrosting something out first. Or depending on the type of meat you are cooking.

But then you're at half power, not 'normal'.

Lol, yes, the fun we have we microwaves. Ive been blamed for the depleted performance of our micro wave, I put in a jar of Nutella, I did remove the foli covering, but there was a tiny amount that I hadnt scraped off the rim. I didnt realise something was wrong untill I saw flash, I thought it was lightning, lol, the looked at the micor wave and saw a blue electric flash hit the thing. I took it out quick, but the nutella was fine, and so apeard the microwave, lol. But now it takes 40 seconds to slightly melt butter so you can spread it, and thats my fault! Seriously, the microwave has always been bad, I think the nutella incident helped it, lol!

That's nothing. Don't you hate those china cups with the metal rims? It looked like someone was chucking lightning in there.

Little known fact: This is actually the origin of the Zeus myth.

The ancient Greeks had many advanced technologies that were later lost to time. Technologies such as helicopters and laser guns. But they also had microwaves, and believed that Zeus was punishing them with lightning when they put metal in it.

lol

No, the ancient Atlanteans (who liked to fight with the Atheniens) were more advanced. Nuclear weapons, fighter planes, airborne battleships... all the sort of stuff WE could have had in the 19th CENTURY!

You're getting a bit confused. Atlantis was as Greek as Ithica or Sparta. City-States, my good man.

I think that this is a sparkling example of how these forums are more of an asylum than anything.

There is no paper... you're all just crazy
If you were to juggle a lion, and a house cat, the end result would look something like a tattered chunk of red fabric. The cat would scratch anything within reach, and the lion would just eat you. The lesson to learn? Make sure you eat your spinach.

It must be psychic paper, I see pie. :P Yeah, I don't think we could have large metal contraptions in the past and not have any survive to the present. I mean come on, Helicopters?

The helicopters were all lost in a volcano in an attempt to stop it from erupting by clogging it up.

Unfortunately, you see, despite their advanced technology, Atlanteans were horrible tacticians.

I hate microwaves, all microwaveable meals taste like shit, especially the curries, they look like an abortion to say the least.
