(In UFO I mean extraterrestrials)

UFO as in Unidentified Flying Object. Sure. That could be anything, even a high flying plastic bag. UFO as in extra terrestrials not so much. Given the level of technology and research needed to travel to another solar system only an intelligent and well developed race may ever succeed.

Such a race would not simply fly away at the first sight of intelligent life. How amazing wouldn't it be if we travelled to a different solar system and found an intelligent race. The idea that extra terrestrials should hide in the backgrounds, silently observing falls short on this very point.
