I finally found this site again after a long while (apparently 23/8/14), so I thought I'd get around to introducing myself, seeing as how I was just a lurker prior to this.

I'm currently going through the application process for university, but at least a lot of it, if not most, of it, is done now. I will be learning programming for uni, so any good sites for doing so would be appreciated (I have already begun looking for some, so don't worry.

My main interests are photography and gaming (adventure, action and rpg, but recently also grand strategy). TES: Skyrim and Europa Universalis 3 are pretty damn awesome.

Welcome to the site and awesome to hear about you going to college as well. I'm also in college for Computer Information Systems. xD

As far as programming goes, I learned with the edX computer science one. It uses Python as the language.

If you plan on learning C++ for the classes, and also have an Android device, I recommend CPPDroid paired with Hacker's Keyboard, both are free on the play store. It's a compiler for C and C++ that also comes with tutorials preloaded. I've been trying to learn in my spare time, it's useful to not have to turn on my 13 year old dinosaur of a laptop to code. It does take up ~160 MB of space, check your storage space first.
