Dragon terminology
What are male and female Dragons called? What are the terms for the different stages of a Dragons life, from a hatchling to a great ancient serpent coiled around it's hoard? Is there a specific term for Dragon scales, just as we have the term alicorn for the horn of a Unicorn?
Formerly DragonRider. Almost teenage me could have been more imaginative with names.

Re: Dragon terminology
i always called male dragons "dragons", and female dragons "dragonesses".
in the other thread, you mentioned "drake" possibly being used for a male dragon. i dunno, it's not a gender thing, it's just... i kind of like the idea of "drake" being used to refer to adolescent dragons. it's like the word being used to describe the dragon, is developing along with the dragon itself.
