"Twice nothing into twice what we're looking for"

"We are looking for four so zero+zero= eight letters twice four so the second number has to be eight."

"Third is two less than third."

"Two less letters in the word third is 3 so three has to be the third number."

"Now hmmm the fourth one...." said Lycoris as she started to pace the floor.

Stepping out from the shadows in which she had silently cleaned the blood off of her skin, she pointed out:

"I think brothorn has a point. If it does indeed mean the letters in the word than: the first number is five as he explained; 7 has to be the second because twice nothing equals nothing, which has seven letters; 3 must be the third because there are five letters in THIRD which minus two is again three; And as for the last you are supposed to apply the previous solution to the question, fourth is spelled with 6 letters so it must be: 5726!"

She walked briskly up to the door, and paused, she quietly whispered "Aegis[protect]" and dialed the 4-digit password.

At this point mia awoke not full of energy but enough to stand and show anger. " Sera....you truly are a pain in my ass and thea ya know what? You talk to my best friend like that one more time..." She threatened panting " I will rip off as many fingers as i can reach before seraphine drains my energy again!" Mia exclaimed exastedly raiseing her fist to punch thea. " Say i wont!" She grrrowled " Cause i promise i will take great pleasure in doing so!"

The electricity bounced off of the shield and arced upwards where it fizzled into nothingness. The machine quieted back down. Seraphine had covered her head, but turned back to look at Lycoris in amazement.

"You're right! It must be eight!((Ooc: yup, its eight))That would explain why twice nothing, which is what? Two zeroes, make up the number eight! Okay so we have 58--...what are the last two?"

She went back to the carven hints. "I don't think the others are that hard...the we don't have to look at them like we did those first ones. Garum get real impatient real quick, so these last ones will be a breeze."

"Well, the third number could be 5, because fifth place is two less than third place," Brothorn suggested. He doubted it was right, but he thought it was worth a shot. The group seemed to be getting angry at one another, and Brothorn was ready to leave. Although, he didn't think that getting the weapons from that room would be such a good idea. It would only give Thea and Mia a new way to kill each other.

"well i was completely wrong" said armotag while chewing on something.
"what are you chewing on?" the group said

Lycoris looks around then shouts "Yay I got something right!" and goes back to thinking.

Mia jumping back to reality lowered her fist and realized something " He if the 4 clue says 'third is less then third' then wouldnt that mean that the answer is 3?" Mia said her mind pouring over the riddle.

Seraphine sighed exasperratedly. "Come on guys! The answer is staring you in the face! Third is 2 less than third. What is third? 3. WHat is two less than three?!"

She tapped her foot impatiently.

Akira sighed as mia lowered her fist,she really thought it wasnt a good idea to be fighting with each other in there current situation''well when you put it like that two less than three is one''

"Sooo...the code could be 0581?Unless the answer is in the riddle itself.3234."
Tamien sat down on the floor and started scribbling complictated words and symbols rapidly in the floor with her claw.Bored,she touched one with her finger and it started to glow a faint blue when it died.

"Why would you think its 0581? We need to fid 4 numbers and it says the First is one less than itself, and that is 5 so its 581-." states Seraphine.

"So, we have 5, 8, and 1," Brothorn said, "The last one is the 'fundamental question'. So, the answer's got to be 4, because the basic question is 'what's the four-digit password'." Brothorn decided to give it a try. He walked up to the keypad and whispered, "Aegis[protect]". A thin, flickering shield surrounded him. He quickly punched in the code. "5-8-1-4" His shield went out just as he entered the last number. . .

Tamien covered her eyes when she saw Brothorn's shield die out just as he tapped in the code but dared to peek out between her fingers,hoping that the code was the right one..

Seraphine quickly flung out her hands and said strongly:

"Aegis![Protect]"

A reinforcing shield glassed over Brothorn as the jolt came out of the keypad. It glanced off just as it did with all the others. She smiled weakly. "Well that was close...maybe we should just put on rubber gloves, huh?" She looked at the keypad. "Maybe theres something here. The other buttons are still pushed in though..."

Tamien looked at the keypad.
"If you tap in the 3 it would make a "Y" pattern.."

"Well, if you're sure that its the fundamental question...then press it..."

"Aegis![protect]" muttered Tamien as she tapped in the the key number 3 and prepared herself for another shock from the door...

"Passcode accepted...access allowed." muttered the machine. The safe door cracked open and in the room under lights, glittered an array of weapons and armor. Some where recognizable, others were not. All free for the taking.

"Yes!" she grabbed Tamien in a fierce hug. "We did it! Now we can get our stuff back!" she rushed inside and began leafing through the piles as the others walked in warily. She found Risoluto...but she didn't see Starlancer...or for that matter...Turluin.

armotag came back to see them in the room and ran in "my bow" as he jumped for joy grabbed his bow and put it on the string that the shovel was tied on with then put his quiver over his back."my gold coins to, and my clothes, umm i better change later, not in front of everyone"

Aeyla reached in and retrieved her wing braces, used for long flights, she also smiled as she found her robes stashed in a sack; which she kept them in, at least untill they left the dungeon. She also took two twin crystal daggers that no one else claimed, they had a rune engraved on each one that she recognized.

"This is poison right?" She asked Seraphine.

Tamien just stood utterly dazed until she realised the door had opened and she hadn't propelled into the wall and been concussed.Beaming,she entered the room and immediately found her clothes.Looking around some more,she found all eight of her daggers,her bow and arrows and her spiked collar.
