The point of the flint is that the dragon eats it and then sparks them together.

Nice...

in order for it to have enogh flint to use it effectively there would have to be an abundant source of it. The amount needed for it to be reliable is absurd

The same gas that helps dragons fly, also is flammable. Dragons eat a speacial mineral rock with hihg deposits of platinum. Dragons can realese that gas at any time they like. when they do they also make a really quick chew of their teeth right as the gas is being realesed with make a spark and ignite the gas creating fire.

Ok Ok.

It's very simple. There are 2 theories of fire breathing.

1) The dragon has a flint gland on the top of his mouth, and he strikes it on a very hard part that is on the bottom of his mouth. It sparks a fire. then he breaths some type of chemical or crap like that, and it shoots a flame.

2) The dragon has hydrogen in his stomach. A normal human being would normaly let that hydrogen go to waste, making it go, well, you know. But a dragon uses that and has a flammable venom that it shoots out of it's venom gland. That hydrogen makes that venom ignite, shooting a tonge of fire scoriching everything!!! :D :D *laghing evily*

I can rulee the world using dragons!!!
