Dragon's Blood

Since I was a child, I never fully saw dragons as reptiles, although I "knew" they were because that's what everyone around me thought. Also for some reason I always believed dragons to be warm blooded. Honestly I don't know why, but I still believe that. Well I talked to my friend about this recently (who loves dragons), and she told me they're reptiles and are cold-blooded. Well, I was just at "D.R.AG.O.N.S" (which is how I found this board) And throughout the site they kept saying they were warm blooded, just as I believed, but didn't really say why. Does anyone have a type of proof that shows they were warm blooded?

There really isn't any proof of anything, but inferences can be made. Dragons don't really fit into the reptiles classification anyway because they have too many limbs and they'd need hollow bones to fly.

Dragons are not classified as reptiles. They are actually a separate type of dragon.

Their blood can be warm or cold, and it is able to heal wounds if you put it on one. But don't drink it though. *coughing and wezzing* It's toxic!

*falling to the floor*

And their bones are hollow.

sorry but if it were toxic would it not have the same effect or even a stronger one if it were to be applyed to wounds and mixing with ones blood...because injesting a substance has the same effect but slower...um I guess this is right if Im correct about the human body.

I think that calling a dragon a reptile is the same as calling a human an ape why not Draco Mysterios or something??\

and also some dinos were said to be warm blooded

i don't think dragons are reptiles or dinosaurs. i think they do belong to their own group. as for the cold blood or warm blooded i think it all depends on the type of dragon. like ice dragon would probly be warm blooded to keep it from freezing, while a fire dragon would be cold blooded to keep it from roasting. but thats all just my opinion.

I think you have got a Point there.

I also think dragons are in they're own group, but like Jishdefish said, they're not quite reptile, but have evolved into they're own classification.

Actually, they wouldn't, because cold blooded would MAKE it roast, because the heat would end up killing the dragon.

Okay let me take this dried up post and add some water:
I wonder is dragon blood truly magical?

I think you might go as far as to say Earth dragons may or may not have unusual properties, though I would hesitate to say magical...

I myself, don't beleive in true magic, but loop holes in reality...

describe magick...

heres my point...

basically anything that our science cant explain is automtically called magick. it could just be that our science isnt advanced enough to figure it out.

soo iut could be that dragons blood has some sort of chemical or element in it that we cant understand yet

That is a possibility, but on the other hand, Alot of people have belief in Magic Science cant explain everything or we would be too powerfull!

interesting, i like it alot better than saying anything that science can't explain is work of a god.

Any element above lead is basically radioactive, and any above what we've already discovered would disintegrate immediately.

In addition, most respectable scientists (i.e, those who are going to run various nuclear test reactors) would refer to the unknown as "undesignated information"

so?

so it would be impossible to have a creature that had large levels of radiation in its body without said creature dying.

who says that it has 2 have large levels of radiation? just because scientist have only discovered stuff after lead doesnt mean that there isnt anything before it. the possibilities of stuff scientist havent discovered yet r endless!!!!!!! :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

Chalgrish: Wut2say is right. Scientist havent discovered everything yet. They even havent discovered all the types of animals that live on this planet. So until it is proven otherwise, you cant say that a Dragon cant live with radioactive blood. Science has been wrong before and it will be wrong agian because humans arent perfect so science isnt perfect.

Can rocks fall up? Can the sky be purple swirling circles? Can a tree grow with its leaves underground? Can a rock fall faster than a feather on the moon? The answer to all of these is no. Science is never incorrect, merely human's perception of it.

unless science says something is what it is, and that is later proven to be wrong. like that fish everyone said was extinct, and was caught alive by fishermen.

No, PEOPLE said that, not science.

Science is nothing but tested theorys created by man; the same man that makes mistakes; like the one we are talking about!!

Nothing can be thouroly explained; This 'Science' being nothing more than a collection of random data, thrown togeather with verios flawed ideas into the our screwed up perception of reality!!!!

Does this 'science' explain what causes ghosts or the bermuda triangle No!! and will it ever in the next twenty years I DONT THINK SO!!!!!!

Not intill we accept that not everything can by scientificly explained!!!!!!!!!

Now my definition of magic is something mystical that cannot be explained exept by the sheer will of someone or something!!
Now that I have shed my own light on this subject my job is done.. :done:
